Hello all.
There's a certain type of vocal that I just can't seem to figure out and I was kind of hoping that someone here could help me out.
Anyway, it's a type of black metal vocal. I don't mean the standard high screeches, but that lower vocal that is sometimes used. It almost sounds similar to a death growl, but its really hollow and "airy" sounding and it doesn't have any gurgle to it.
If you don't know what I mean, listen to this:

You'll hear it first thing the vocals start, and several more times throughout the song. This is the only decent clip of that kind of vocal that I could find, but the best example I know of is in the song "Shadows Over Transylvania", by the same band, where the guy sings a whole passage in that voice.
Can anybody tell me how to do those, or at least tell me if there's a name for it?
