Henrik's a beast!

It does kinda sound like certain parts are overdubbed - but I'm not going to naysay his ability to scream. He may have some giant lungs for his size.

I counted just a day ago or so, it's only half a minute. But that's hardcore, nonetheless.

i think the TD ones are way more brutal and in-your-face, actually. the MR vocals fit, but the TD ones are WAY more savage.

I agree with Neal, they were more raw and unrefined in TD, but I think it was fitting for the album, where the vocals on MR are better for its general theme. And yes, Henke is amazing. I'm surprised he hasn't coughed up an organ while screaming yet.

it's 25 seconds long....i don't think it's overdubbed though. i don't THINK. i mean, its quite possible to exhale for that long, and it does go very quiet midway as if hes cutting down his exhaling volume to get the length....so i dunno.

Personally I think Henke does better on MR because he varies it with deep growls and than of course his bad ass usual black metal. Both slay tho

yeh, both styles fit the albums they're on, TD is just more raw/brutal/savage. MR is more cold so they made the vocals more cold. cold is good savage is good gadlor is not good

Ok specifically that one scream on Uncloud the Sky.. around the middle of the song he just lets out this humungous long scream. It's like a minute in length. Now I am wondering... HOW THE FUCK? He must've overdubbed that scream. How the hell could he scream that brutally for so long?

dunno!
i dont get it either.
he has been practising since he was about 16 yrs old.
but still, he is a very small human being so the lungs cant be that big. it has to be that he uses very small amounts of air when he screams. and the more he screams, the better it sounds.

take me for instance, i can only scream for short periods of time and after two songs i have to drink large amounts of milk, cola and water if i want to be able to speak for the rest of the day

i bet i know how he does it...

he has had quite a few years of practice.. so his throat is probably all scabbed up to the point where it narrowed the amount of air he can push out.. therefore when he screams only a little bit of air gets through yet it still sounds all massive and neat.

just imagine if he was a normal size

he could scream for hours on end
