I'm driving down to check out Sleep in Monticello, and only in the area Friday and Saturday of this week. Stopping in Ithaca on the way back to visit a friend at Cornell U. Someone must know of a worthy diversion to liven up the rest of the trip?

Southern Tier is in Lakewood New York. It's an ace tap room, but it's pretty far away. I would do exactly what Ken said; that's what I do every time I go to a new place. You can always stop at the liquor store in Rochester, that place fucking smoked.

Although I never order bottled beer at a bar because it's stupid (just buy it for 1/3 of the price at the local store and assure yourself that it's fresh), I would love to try that Black Butte!!

ANyhow, Pliny the Elder ftw. Ive only had it in a bottle, and past it's prime, and it was still marvelous.
