Hey Dubliners, wake up!

Howdy heads,
im not a dubliner ( glad to say!) but i drove up to the gig last night.
WHAT A SHOW!
about 800ppl at it, 2 fairly crappy support acts and at 9:45 on they came - intro music- Blues Brothers track :)
then we got 2 or 3 new songs, from an INCREDIBLY energetic band, who looked SOOOOO fucking happy to be there and it was a great gig for them to start the tour with. Setlist ( in no order other than gung ho at the end)

metal thrashing
gung ho
antisocial
got the time
in my world
caught in a mosh
NFL
1000 points of hate
Black lodge
only
inside out
Fueled
Bring the Noise
Superhero
Safe home
What doesnt die

other than a slight fluff in 1000 points of hate it was flawless, and excellent - go see them.

Wow.I'm surprised they didn't play 'What doesn't die' or more new stuff.I want them to play Black dahlia whenI see em(7 days!!and I have no Idea where i'm going when I get there!)

Totally agree with ya...
The gig last night was amazing!
I was at the barrier for the whole thing and the atmosphere was great. After the last time they placed when very few people turned up, I was a bit worried, but the crowd really got into it this time..
The medley at the end of really made it: Bring the Noize, I'm The Law & GungHo... Really going back to their roots
I even got Scott Ians pleck, worth every bruise!
Excellent....

did they play part of I'm the law in the medley at the end? I thought it was bring the noise and I'm the man, they played nobody knows anything aswell, I would have liked them to play a few more from the new album like refuse to be denied or anywhere but here or anything basically, but all in all, it was amazing and bloody loud, my ear is still fucked up!

I totally agree with dropping Antisocial.but I like BTN and its cool to see Frankie rappin'.METAL!

Dropping Antisocial is probably a non starter. It would be like 'Tallica dropping For Whom the Bells- a simplistic nursery rhyme of a song, we can all play it backwards but it has something that makes everyone go fuckin' nuts. I got my ideal setlist too, but what can ya do? No Indians, No I am the Law.... but still, what a night. Got the time and BTN blew the fuckin' roof off.

Aaaagh! I'll die if I don't get Catharsis at the Astoria! I know Inside Out was the single but... oh, well. Can't wait til next Friday!!!!

I am the Law wasn't part of the medley, it was I'm the Man. Bring the noise rocked, and I'm the Man. Awesome.

Antisocial was great to hear, but my favourites from last night have to Caught in a Mosh, Metal Thrashing Mad, and NFL. The "Old Skool".

I wish I was gonna see them again somewhere else in the UK. The rest of yez are in for a real treat.

But PLEASE Anthrax. Next time play Belfast. If you thought Dublin rocked .... :flame:

Took us 4 feckin hours to drive to the gig thanx to roadworks and traffic jams, and 2 and a half hours back. Belfast is on our doorstep, so come back soon.

they probably should have played belfast aswell, while they were over. I'd say they could probably get a better crowd up there then in Dublin, plus I could have seen them twice. I'd say my favourite songs were superhero or inside out, theres somethin' about anthrax songs that just make everyone feel so full of energy, it was unbelieveable.
