hey everyone!!!

the zine kicks ass! the writing is superb (as i told markgugs) and everything else about it! it's on my favorites. . . and that is a SELECT position (well... ;) )!

anyway, since most of you have great taste in metal (i can tell from chatting with some of you and reading some posts...), RECCOMEND ME SOME. i gots some $$ for cds, been looking around on theendrecords.com and most bands i have already heard most of their stuff or own, alnog with some bands i've never heard. i'm kinda looking for some new stuff (stuff from bands that i don't already have cds by already). something new, something good, hell JUST RECCOMEND ME SOME GOOD STUFF!!!!! i like black, doom, gothic, melodic, death, thrash, viking -- stuff with those kinda influences!

thanks in advance and hope everyone is doing well!!!

Well judging from your avatar (which is my second favorite metal album of all time) you need to get Omnium Gatherum. I have also been maniacally listening to Manes lately, electronic/metal hybrid, somewhere between late period Ulver and something very very dark.

Oh yeah, and thanks for the compliments. :)

just the daily grind of work, 7-330!
could always be worse though.

college is a blast, it is quite possible to do well academically and still enjoy the array of delights which will unfold before you. some say the freshman year is the transitional one, and therefore risky, but I didn't get on academic probation until I was a sophmore. :yell::Spin::loco:

got squared away once I figured out my major and focus though. what are you thinking of in terms of major?

Hey BWD - how goes it!

If you want recommendations for new stuff, you might as well check out our reviews (which it seems like you're doing anyway).

In the meantime, from 'recent' releases, I've been listening to:

Vital Remains - Dechristianize: Epic death
Virgin Black - Elegant & Dying: Sombre, romantic
Mercenary - Everblack: melodic version of Into Eternity meets Nevermore

(All the above have reviews).

And lots of other stuff - none of it new, heh. Stuff like Emperor, Nokturnal Mortum, Bruce Dickinson, Tenhi.

english! i have been a writer all my life (writing stories at 5 where people bombed burger kings then turned out to be monsters) and i love literature (i am not happy unless i a reading something on my off-time [i.e. when there is nothing else to do]) so why not make a career of them?? i would love to write full time, but as to what i will do on the side i will just have to wait and see! :hotjump:

Everyone must own Look What The Cat Dragged In by Poison

...and the self titled debut from Faster Pussycat...."Got your number off the bathroom wall"...

In fact, just get the Decline of Western Civilization: The Metal Years!

markgugs! i was wondering when you would return! (bastard. . . got to go to wacken. . . ;) ). never heard of windr, but your reccomendations in the past have been stellar. another cd to buy! another addition to the ton i've bought the past month or so. . . will give them a try!

BWD, what's up dude?

Heh, bumping this thread in the meantime...based on your love for Thyrfing, you MUST get the new Windir (titled Likfeld). It fucking owns!

Excellent news indeed...one of the CD's I bought a couple of weeks ago and haven't got round to listening to yet. Beautiful artwork on the cover too.
