Hi
I'm working on a little promo song (posted here: http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/...s/307407-promo-song-mixed-yamaha-hs-50-a.html)
and I'm not very happy
Today I tested my song with spectrum analyzer and I compared it with a reference song.
The results are those (right is my track, left is reference):

As you can see in my track there are no freq above 15k and if I change the eq into that range nothing changes.
The Ohs are DFHS and I don't know why there aren't hi frequencies :\
How can I obtain those frequencies??
Another question: Are there plugins which let you work with extra freq (16k - 22k range)?
Thank you

Are those mp3 files? Depending on the setup you use when enconding your mp3 it will remove a lot of high frequencies that originally were in a wav file, for example. mp3 is a lossy encoding algorithm as far as I know. If those are wavs I have no idea.

If those ARE wave files, the highs are probably cancelling each other out due to phase cancellation in the mix.

not sure, but could be.
