The neverending battle against my own skills. Seems that bit by bit it's getting better and better. Thanks to the criticism here that some people are sharing! So yeah, im posting like 2 clips a week to hear some input, it really does matter that much to me as im so amateur shit 'n all. Same deal as always, any ideas or thoughts of the overall mix?

No seriously, my only complaint would be the drum and guitar tones are so common, but that's apples and oranges. You were probably aiming for 'that sound'. It's a solid mix, good job.

What is your chain? Cause I'd say it not perfect, but it's really in the right direction of awesome sound. If that's from a DI, i'm impressed. I think the drums aren't "live" sounding enough. But I like. Sounds good man.

Thanks! Yeah, it's all DI if the 'ol 5150 through dummy counts DI samples and midi. Agree with the drums live sound! Really would love some tips.
If you'd be specific of what chain i am willing to share it offcourse!

Drums are too dry.

Kick is a bit splatty, but not in a good way.

Guitars could use a notch around 800hz.

Instrument balance is pretty solid. Nice work.

The splat is annoying. Aptrigga does a delay on the hit that multiplies the fucking effect. >:$

Overheads are a bit loud for me, they stick out too much too
when there's only one guitar at the beginning I think you could tame some fizz...isn't really anoying in the full mix, but couldn't harm to do imo
but the guitarsound is nice as usual
Toms are panned quite narrow, would widen that

That would be slate kick and snare with a bit of LSD on both. Metalfoundry room and cymbals.

I did an update, i think the new has more room and the cymbals are more controlled, also the guitars are more solid imo. Don't still know bout the splat.

Drums are better, getting there. I think you're missing a bass guitar in there to glue it together.

I think all three sound good, but the third version I heard was def the best. Nice clear sounding stuff, does not sound too compressed, which I fear my band's stuff sounds too compressed. I'd like to hear the finished version when u get that far.
