Yeah I heard everything too. Only listened once as I'm at work, but I like it on first listen. It sounds more like Pale Folklore than I expected, but it's quite long and drawn out like The Mantle could be at times.

Well ok more as in, I didn't expect it to sound anything even remotely like it, so it does in that sense.

And yeah, it was a bit boring like Crimson said.

Ok so I eventually listened in, weak boy me. I wasn't speculating on anything in particular but least of all that Agalloch would feel the need to re-write "Brave Murder Day"... It sounds very different, and as with any band moving on to more rockish shores they'll probably gain new fans and lose some along the way. At least it doesn't feel like they're gonna fuck it up like Dornenreich did.

yeah i got the katatonia feel too. i was reminded of fucken RAPTURE of all bands, in that it kinda takes some katatonia type ideas and moves in a ROKK direction.
