Holders for a floyd rose tremolo bridge, changing them

The floyd rose tremolo bridge is held in by two six-cornered screws, which regulate the hight of the bridge. But the corners are worn out so that the screwdriver just circles in it, without moving it. Can anyone tell me, that if I disconnect the bridge from the back, take out the tightening springs so that the bridge itself becomes loose, does it just come off or is it somehow attached to the two six-cornered screws that regulate it? If the bridge comes off then I can remove the disfunctioning screws via other tools
