Holiday present to myself

Today I was browsing the local Guitar Center, not really expecting to find anything good, when I spotted a 5150 combo in great condition selling for $450. I walked out feeling as if I'd stolen it.





Needless to say, It sounds great and I'm super stoked.

Yeah, I was already planning to put v30's in it, I'd be crazy not to. the cab (that can't really be seen) that the combo is sitting on in the pic is a Laney 4x12 with Celestion greenbacks that sounds quite tasty plugged into the 5150's external speaker jack. I should really get around to making impulses of the Laney cab someday...At any rate I look forward to seeing how the v30's I put in the combo blend with / compare to the greenbacks.

Although then again I scored my 5150 for $600 (and sold my blue voodoo for $350 so only paid $250 for it) so I don't feel that jelous about this deal.
