I love the album, but it does have it's drawbacks.

It's very vanilla sounding and a little bit scratchy on the vox and guits. I am OK with their solo tone, but their ryth tone is making me cringe every time I give the debut CD a spin.

It's also VERY samey through the whole album.

I know it is supposed to be stripped down metal, but I think vocals, bass, drums and guits fall flat when it comes to the overall impact.

I'm in the same boat, really want to love this album, but can't bring myself to listen to it anymore after a few spins. On the bright side, I get to see them open for Blind Guardian in December, I'm sure they will kill it live.

I've seen them and they are amazing.
