well, recently i went there to visit for the first time ever and the entire island seems to be focused around this golden calf of a mall. the ferry is cool, though.

yeah it's really like a miniature version of Jersey, accept it smells far worse, which is astounding in itself, and while in NJ you can find a good concentration of people still trapped in 1986, in Staten Island those people are the majority.
