Holy shit!

Well well well about fucking time :D. Although the Opeth thing is abit of a downer. If they have time to headline a show there better be one in/around Chicago. :bah:

Sounds good, although it would be damn near perfect if it was Srapping Young Lad. I saw all three bands at seperate dates last year and they were all totally amazing, on the same bill it's going ot be brutal.

Ditto that. Were you at the Arch Enemy/SYL show in Manchester then?

Raleigh is not scary at all, but rather boring. we have maybe 1 tall building. it's been 6 years since we've gotten a decent tour, so finally i dont have to drive 4hrs to a gig. but it does seem so far that Opeth is trying to avoid the cities they just played a few months ago.

now there's 4 big tours in February, but i will skip Hypocrisy and In Flames if necessary to see more DT and DTB!!! i certainly hope they pull off a few off-dates!

Yeah, ican't actually believe Opeth is back - they just had a tour with Nevermore here, in December (???)

And that's "scary" as in "boring" and "2+ hour drive", not scary as in "Camden" :p

Too much Opeth hatin' going on :( ... Didn't know we were all so anti good music here. :p

Just so I know, is it backlash to their semi exploits into commercialism/releasing a pretty gash album by their standards or did the people here not like Opeth in the first place?

I don't hate Opeth :p But their gig sucked big time, so i don't want to see them live again. And i'm sick of their music at the moment anyway, because i listened to them way too much a few years ago.

i really cannot understand why everyone seems to care that opeth don't move around too much. anyway, just watch mendez do his little bass dance and hair swinging, be stoned if you're into that, and dig the music. they do it PERFECTLY. personally, i am mezmerized watching opeth. anyway, you will get enough front man action for all 3 bands from mr. stanne. and depending on devin's mood... could be anything.

holy crap i love love love opeth.

hey mp-akk do you still post here? ; )

I don't hate Opeth either, and i find them quite amazing as a live band. They're the 2nd best live band i've seen on stage. But DT deserve to be headliners, it would make for a much much better show.

... Well for me OPETH are quite amazing as a live band, I love DT but OPETH rules baby... Yeah baby Yeah!!!!...

Sorry, today I saw Austin Power - Goldmember haha... Hej Da

i do think opeths GR was better than Character, but both were favorites of mine.i dont know what sala whatever finds so bad about the band proper

@Kutryer: WTF do you mean? So its the fans and not the music?
If its a personality thing with anyone they need to grow up and stop acting like a 9 year old.
Next you'll be ragn' on DT because you like long hair and Anders and Michael saved their heads.
I can't wait for this tour to hit the shores of the US, its going to be a once in lifetime opportunity.

I dont see the connection you've made between long hair and not wanting to associate with fanboys...

It actually does happen that if you visit a band you loves forum and it's filled with absolute arseholes who think they're the be all and end all, and they are teh uber elite and all that shite, it can be really off putting. Then again, Im not letting Opeth fanboy turds put me off the band, I'm just trying not to associate with the c**ts.
