Home Made Dual Rect

Wow, what incredible (and consistent) audio quality, I can totally guage how much it sounds like the real thing! :loco: Honestly, I don't know what the people who make these vids are thinking...

You can tell that despite the quality of the video, it would probably sound good in person. The low end is tight enough to not fart out the dudes cab or the camera mic.

kudos to him for having the inclination to do that, but man, I think if I wanted one bad enough I'd take a second job and buy the real deal.

Well, maybe there is a great deal of satisfaction in actually building your own amp :) Not that I would do it though... I mean, I'm willing to learn to build pedals and stuff but damn, building that head did not seem like an easy thing haha. Maybe if I'm unemployed the next few years...

I was thinking of doing something like this a while back, but fairly different haha.

I saw a schematic for this Dr. Boogie pedal a while back and it peaked my interest enough to want to build one, never got around to it, but I thought recently, if I put that in a 19" 1U rack case, added an amp eq and an FX loop, it would be pretty darn cool.
A kinda-sorta solid-state racktifier with one channel.
Add in a switchable tubescreamer and you've got a hell of a recipe.

I WILL build it at some point soon, I swear!

I think a dr. boogie in a rack would be a lot easier than cramming everything into a tiny pedal. I've thought about this too! I'd like to make a desktop version, sorta like a tonelab, with lots of room for my horrible wiring and soldering, maybe have a switchable cab sim. Dammit, now I wanna do this again. Stuff takes me forever, but if I solder one or two parts a day....hmmmmm.

Still waiting on you to build this before I get off my lazy butt and build it myself. Actually, that's a really good idea, putting it a 19" rack. Hmmmm.

are you MetalMGH :err:

Hahaha, yup, copy/paste baby! :D

Dude, is that supposed to be a hard question to solve?

1+1=2 right? Are you with me?

so....

Single Rec + Single Rec = Dual Rec.

See how easy it is? hahah :D Lame joke... I know!
