Hotel Options

For those that regularly stay at the Super 8, I just noticed that via Hotels.com they have a couple of different options regards the cancellation policies. You can save $10 per night if you know for sure you're not going to cancel (i.e. it is a non-refundable reservation) vs a different rate if you want the option to cancel up to the day before. Not sure if that's just via Hotels.com or other sites. Just be careful which one you sign up for.

Guess the word got out about the Days Inn, as it is completely sold out. I called them and there are no rooms at the Inn!! This listing will be a huge help in finding rooms.

We've stayed at the Marriott last 2 years and I wont stay anywhere else. Fantastic room, bedroom with a flat screen tv, a living room with a sleeper couch and flat screen tv (with an input jack), balcony, fridge, bath tub, and shower.

The walk isnt bad, I can make it to the room and back between bands.

I don't get it ... why would so many of you post here to say that you already had booked your hotel? What do you get out of letting us know that?
This post is made for Glenn to let you all know that he is offering up a new service FOR THOSE WHO STILL HAVE NOT booked their rooms.

What a cool thing having all the hotels in one area like that. I was just checking out some of the amenities at the different hotels..just for kicks....and when I click on that tab for the Artmore it says that they offer a complimentary breakfast. So I called them in the hopes that they had changed it back as this last year it was not free. (that was a shock) I was told that it was indeed $10 a person. Darn!

It was a shock to Jen and I, too. Thanks for letting me know. I plan to call The Artmore on Monday to have "complimentary breakfast" removed.

A good reminder to me to get my hotel booked. Just used Priceline and got into Hotel Midtown for $50 a night. I've been there in the past and I was happy enough with it.

Oh geez, I still have to do this. Looks like we'll be a bit of a trek away, again. But that's okay, Regency suites are pretty nice. And I never see any other PP attendees there, for some reason. It's within walking distance (well, if you're okay walking 3/4 of a mile) and it's currently cheaper than some of the closer options. :)

I was staying there last year, and was the 2nd time I had stayed there. Considering that I had my family with me and I wanted them to have close access to MARTA, it was a good choice.

That is one of the nice things about the Regency Suites. The MARTA being close by does cut down on the walking, if you have a little extra change to spare for tickets.

My friends and I have been staying there every year since I started going. So that'll be...4 years so far, I believe. Going on 5.

Because some people have no idea which hotels are worth it and others are not?

Because this list might not be complete, and other people might be able to say "hey this place is not on the list but it rocks."

Because because because...

Reading posts like yours begs other questions...

"Why do some people have to criticize and complain about things they read in a forum? What is so lacking in their lives that they have to bitch about things that clearly bother nobody else? Why waste energy posting complaint after complaint when there is a whole beautiful world out there to enjoy?"

That said, I am logging off to go spend time outside with my friends.

Hopefully you can relate to that last sentence.

Dude, you don't get it at all. My comment was directed not at those who made suggestions and talked about the different options; it was solely directed at those who posts "I already booked mine" without bringing anything into the conversation. I've been working with Glenn and the company that offers these hotels on getting it all set up - it takes work - and it's all done out of the pleasure in bringing this festival experience to you all. When I see people posting something completely irrelevant in a thread supposed to be guiding y'all towards a better experience, then I am thinking "damn, did people even READ what this was all about?".

As for you going out and spending time with friends - I'm happy to hear you have friends now. Congratulations on that! Also, congrats on logging off - good choice.
