I can't get over how similar this situation is to WW2/

i loved Crossfire last week, when the head of Iraq's nuclear weapons program for decades (until he defected in 1995) detailed how France and Germany both secretly sold Iraq the makings of nukes knowing they were trying to make weapons.

"So you're saying France, the self-proclaimed 'conscience of the world', was purposely arming Saddam with nukes??"

"Yes, that is what I am saying."

Oh well. At least they armed the Israelis as well.

"Deterrence" is the most horribly evil concept ever ("if you launch nukes at me, even though i'm dead, i will spitefully launch my nukes, too, and instead of 250 million dead there will be 500 million dead!!!"). I don't understand why some Americans got so angry about the missile shield plan.
