How do I activate the Click Track in Cubase 5

I did it before but now after the reinstall I cannot get it figured out. Why can't I just hit the 'click' button and it works ffs.

Hit F4 and check your I/O Settings. On the outputs tab there is a 'Click' column. Make sure 'Click' is checked next to your Main Outs.

Yes, in Cubase you have to manually assign which outputs the click goes to from a window completely unrelated to the click itself.

Stupid question....but what is a click track? Isnt it just the metronome?

It has always gone to the master bus for me on default settings/fresh install...

Same thing happened me last night in Cubase 4, took me ages to figure out that little click column on the outputs
