How long will Testament's current line-up last?

I give it until next album, then I'm worried that it will change again.
It's strange, they had the same line-up for 5 albums in a row, then it changed for every record afterwards, they also had different line-ups for studio recording and tour.

This post annoys me. I try to think positive when it comes to Testament, and always hope that things work out for the best. Stability is definitely on their minds, but who knows what will happen in the future? I think it's dumb to speculate on the subject "at this point."

I always hope for that too, but I think stuff like this is a good thing to discuss. Like, "what's more important, a good stable line-up or ever changing band members in order to create the prefect band?" I know most of the past members didn't get kicked out, they left by themselves.
Obviously, I don't expect people to reply "2 more albums" or something like that, I just meant to start a discussion on Testament's fequent line-up changes in general. Otherwise this post would be rather stupid and uninteresting. Frequent line-up changes are always a problem, and fans usually discuss problems. Of course, I hope for the best too, but nevertheless, I think it's something to discuss.

well, in my opinion - its cool that they are a complete band now and that they are all getting along and recording a new album, but i also think that it doesn't really matter who is in the line up as long as chuck and eric are there jamming - the way they want the music to go - no matter who else is in the band, its all good anyway!!
i agree with what TL just said, because it seems to be quite a negative post that you made, and its seems like you're quite pessimistic - DUDE -
Look on the bright side !!

i think that whatever direction they go - i'll still like it - just as i have enjoyed every album that I have of their music, its all in the name of METAL!!! \,,/

i dont find this post worriing at all... i think it can be an advantage to have a changing linup rather then a set one... (look how great it worked out with Death for example)

i think it helps make each album more unique and gives new ideas each time around...

it makes the next album more unknown and i think thats good i deffinatly love how testament does new things and this will be no different

I hope they´ll stay together for a long time ... Steve DiGiorgio is an unbelievable Bass Monster ... Steve S. is such a nice guy with so much positive energy on the stage and Jon is slammin´ his drum kit like a bezerker ... and I think I don´t have to mention the two legends Chuck & Eric ;-)

Evolution of a band is sometimes a slow process, or can be very sudden and quick, depending on the situations, that arise, and come up, it can't be measured, it's just like nature, and takes it own course. Thats like asking when an earthquake will hit?............all we know is that shit happens and when it does, then certain decisions are addressed, and changed as needed, at that time. Testament the band goes on, as long as Chuck and Eric still want to perform and write music. They control their own evolution with their own decsions they make together, whether it be musical direction, line up changes, touring decsions, artwork, or even the merchandise that is sold..............period...............

Actually, I have to agree with TL. This post is annoying. Why do we need to discuss it? It doesn't affect us, and there's nothing we can do about it. Its like when Asgeir played drums on the No Mercy tour, and all of a sudden everyone is speculating on a change in drummers. Chuck and Eric are the core of the band, and its up to them to decide what works best FOR THE BAND. If you would like to worry about bands changing members, maybe you should start up your own.....

Actually I am in a band.

Anyway, there's a lot of things in life that we can't do anything about. Often, the only thing you can do is to speculate and discuss it. I think it's an interesting thing to discuss, no matter what. :Spin:

That's not what I meant and you know it. I could really care less if you're in a band. I can think of something interesting to discuss... let's talk about how annoying you are.

Now I appreciate that you're young and inexperienced. And I never would want to scare off a Testament fan. But if you're going to post, use some common sense. If it sounds dumb, it prolly is dumb. You obviously don't know anything about Testament beyond what you can look up in the bio and discography.

Also, just so you know, the BAND posts on the board, the band's FAMILY posts on the board, and the band's FRIENDS post on the board. This isn't some nameless, faceless nujack board. I appreciate that you have an opinion, and that you have a right to voice your opinion, but just so you know and we're clear, if you act like a dumb ass, you'll prolly get treated like one. Its a great board, and the people are nice. It'll be what you make of it.....

Ok, then. I didn't think this sounded like a bashing post at first, but you've really made it sound like one. C'mon, I am hoping for Testament to maintain it's line-up, but it gets frequently changed, that's for sure. So I am like, "why is this?", and therefore I posted on this board. But alright, I didn't think of this as a bad post and I'll think more about it before I post next time, Ok?

I agree this board is quite unique,
its not every day you get to talk to your favorite musicians ask them updates about things, and get info directly from them.

i havent really been here all that long (on and off) but i do recall seeing some posts from James Murphy, and from Eric, and that was hella cool, i think i actuly gota few of my own questions and got to comments to james wich he responded 2...

so i just gotta say thats damn cool that they take that kinda time for there fans, and this board also.

but dont come down hard on Epica guys, i think she ment well.

Crap, does Epica sound like a female name? I just named myself after Kamelot's latest album, I'm not a girl! It didn't sound like a name to me! No offense taken, though. ;)
