How many guitar platers or musicians are on this site?

yeah me been playing guitars for about 12 years now, and i still suck major balls........play in a band, we make a lotta noise...... that'll do me :)

as fer equipment........... jackson jj2 ( blue ghost flames ;), digitech rp200 ( cheap but way handy), marshall jcm 2000 ( pain in the bum) bc rich warlock, yamaha qy70 (awesome for laying down drums on yer own)......um and some crapped out marshall amps :)

i need a decent acoustic...but....low range cost....any ideas?!?!? i like jumbos ;)
 
Playing guitar seriously for 7 years now. Have two electric, an acoustic and a classical guitar... Since January I've started playing with a band here in Québec and we do covers and a couple of our own composition and get this - we're the only rock band that sings in bosnian up here! Ha! For our first show we drew 50 people with no publicity whatsoever... Our stuff is mostly '80's mainstream rock and some hard rock - but all covers of originals made by bands from the former Yugoslavia.
 
drums since i was 10, so that would be about 14 years now. I've tried like hell to get a bands together for the last 5 years with virtually no luck and now that I'm in med school and should be studying i've started two bands. now if i could just get one of them to get set to do some gigs that would be super sweet.
 
I plate the electric and acu-stick gitfiddle and the 4-string banger.

Also, I can spew with the vox, but not like a Dickinson.

I'm in the bands Stubborn Grass Stains (guitar vox),
DOOSH (guitar vox), and Martian Honey (bass).

Glad there's so many other platers here! :headbang:

I've been plating off and on for 13-14 years now. Still not that good but I do have the Jackson JJ2 signature model! It's the all black one. Best guitar I've ever played.

Well I sing like Mikey Patton and I am learning the acoustic ... only just started this year with the plan to eventually destroy on the electric!

How does that one sound?
I've been leaning towards Gibson's recently more so than toward Strat type guitars. I recently tried a Gibson Les Paul Studio (~1300$CAN) and it was awesome! There's not a Strat in the world that has that well rounded, thick and warm Gibson sound.
 
Well, I've been playing guitar for 10-11 years. Played in bands, opened for a few big name bands. Right now I've got a teaching gig. (teaching guitar)

Fuck ya! I've got a '98 les paul custom, and it fucking KILLS my 79 strat! Not that the strat is bad, I'm just a sustain fiend! Plus unless there stacked, single coils just don't cut it for metal imo.
 
I have been playing drums for 20 years. Not as seriously over the past 10 as I would like, but jobs and family take up time and I can't tun my drums down and jam at 1 or 2 in the morning when my boys are sleeping. HOWEVER, that is about to change considering I am going through a "mid life crisis" (cue the Faith No More song). I am halfway through building my soundproof jam room in my garage. The walls are up, the insulation is in. All thats left is electric wiring, drywall and moving in the drums. I can't fucking wait. Time to finish perfecting "Nobody Knows Anything".
 
Ive been playing about 10 years and i still suck. Got a Dean ML Phantom, Epiphone SG, De Arnmond Jetstar (this guitar cost about £80 2nd hand and it's fucking fantastic),
