Still getting back to the OT... but in a different way. Do you use quantizing on guitars? I play as tight as I can but it still sounds delayed at places...

Never tried doing that. I just play as tightly as possible.
I quantize the bass an awful lot, though.

Edit: Might seem strange, but I tend mute everything (including drums) and play to a click. Have to make sure that the drums are quantized properly if you want to do that, though + if they're not programmed.

Yeah I usually play to the metronome in reaper myself. Practice seems to be the answer then.
