I like mixing in lower volumes (better results in my opinion) When I'm happy with how the mix is sitting, I would like to raise the volumes simultaneously to just the channels I mixed...how would one do this in Cubase?

damn...just tried it, not working for me. F3 (mixer window pops up)then press (alt+mouse click) not working...am I missing something? how do I mark the tracks

There is a vertical bar on top of each track (in the mixer). Click it (enlight), keeping "string" down and enlighten the next one. Then right click: connect tracks.

If you click on connected tracks to separate again: right click, separate (not sure about my transalation).

And just to clarify, the term is "Link Channels." Basically just click on one channel so it is highlighted, then click on every channel that you want to link while holding CONTROL, then once they are all highlighted, right-click on any one of them and select "Link Channels." Now when you adjust the volume of one track, it will also bring the linked tracks down, likewise with pretty much any other parameter on that track. I use it quite often in Cubase Studio 4 to link my DI tracks to the mic tracks for guitar. This way when I hit record on GTR1, it will also record enable DI GTR1, instead of having to click on each one separately. Makes for more efficient work-flow :)

hm.. I have no idea where my interpretation came from (assume that´s a wrong imprint from starter days)...but anyway, thank you :)

80% of germans think it means "string". I really don't know why, tho ... :)

After a bottle of good Reserva Red Wine I just came up with an idea.
The germans think their keyboard (or at least parts of it) is already in english and take "STRG" for string.
Yeah, so far for my string theory  (simple, stupid, but probably true)
next bottle please :heh:
