HQ Sound FX

I've noticed Joey using a lot of movie like sound FX in his productions, such as explosions, rain and shotgun sounds, etc. Does he make these on his own? Or does he acquire them from an outside source?

freesound is free and seems to be the most popular considering (for some reason) no one wants to pay for elite sound effects libraries.
