Humbucker wiring problems

So the thing is that I instaled a SH6 humbucker in a guitar with just 1 pickup and 1 vol pot.
Easy, right?
Well the problen is that when I turn the pot down to mute the guitar it just turn down a bit of gain, no silence at all.
Changed pot for another but still the same problem.
Tried with another pickup and nothing changed.
Weird as fuck.

It is a 500k pot.
Jack cable:
Ground soldered to the pot
White cable to the midle position

Pickup:
Red and white united each other.
Green and ground to the pot
Black to position 1

I think thats correct, isnt it?

Probably a shitty pot and not going all the way down. Did you heat it up to hard? I remember i messed a pod once that way. Do also know some seymour duncans have an enormous output.

Is one of the tabs on the volume pot soldered to the pot?

You were right Pickasso, the tab was not soldered.
I thought it was internally soldered (my fault), then I blended and soldered and it works.
