Well, promos are, as the word says, promotional copies which are distributed for free. They usually don't even have an artwork or a booklet.

No, there are the same song number and the same length as in the ordinary CD. But no one sells them.

Shamateur, yes, Personified Hatred is right.
These CDs are usually distributed to the media. And note "not for sale" always on them.
Versions of the songs are sometimes shorter or contain "jingles".
