Hypocrisy - The Final Chapter

I haven't listened to Abducted in ages, and I simply must. That album rules beyond belief. Definite favorite from them right there.

I was completely obsessed with these dudes for like 2 years and I haven't listened to them since. I don't know what that means. I also don't know where my pants are. Is.

'The Final Chapter' is one of those weird 'interleaved' albums. Two separate albums shuffled into one. Odd-numbered tracks are the awesome synth-heavy, slow-burning epics, and even-numbered tracks relatively standard high-speed thrashers.

Other interleaved albums I know of are Godgory's 'Resurrection' (which even has basically the same two styles as Hypocrisy's) and Iced Earth's 'Something Wicked...' (odd ones are the thrashers, and evens are the wussy ballads). What are some others? C'mon people, list 'em!

Oh, and how can this thread have gotten this far without a mention of 'Roswell 47'? Mightiest riff ever? Perhaps!

Roswell 47 is definitely a contender for Best Riff Ever. That being said, the main riff for Paradox is better. :)

Many nights in college were spent driving around aimless listening to that song on repeat. Awesome.

Actually it was the year following graduation, but hey, I was drinking/acting/feeling/doing like my college years still!
