i am out sick

i called my boss this morning and was like "i know this looks like i'm trying to extend my vacation, but i have a pretty sore throat and need to call out". he was cool with it. he took off Friday.

sooo i've been using Zicam and drinking that Throat Comfort Yogi Tea i have left over from my last illness, and cleaning my room, and feeling, you know, sick[i/]. the sucky part is i have to work tonight from 6-12:30 because i can't get a sub.

well, if i had insisted on staying out i could have. i do kind of get paid a lot more than i'm worth at that job, and i think the reason is so i'll suck it up at times like these, when the owner is out of town and i'm the only manager available.

i could've had the other manager sub for me, but it would have sucked to have him ask me to return the favor and sub for HIM some night when i had something else planned. quid pro quo, or lack thereof.

it looks like i didn't miss much posting over the long, long holiday weekend!

and nick yeah it's supercontagious! i gave this illness to Aysha yesterday even being careful to only kiss her on the forehead!
