The best my mother had was her first ever record: the Easy Rider soundtrack featuring Steppenwolf and The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Which of course opens with the line "you know I smoked a lot of grass", although I highly doubt she did. 
I guess it's true that you can't judge someone based on the music they listen to. Some music I listen to is Christian, Muslim or Satanic. Some has extreme left wing messages and some has extreme right wing messages.
