Anyone else having this problem. I've downloaded two mp3's of it now and both wont go in. Weird :zombie:

Its weird. I have now downloaded 3 versions and still the same problem. Itunes notices that the file has been double clicked to be added and loads up, but then the program just stands still without the track. I thought it might have something to do with the way Itunes tagged the album. For instance, if Itunes is selling the special edition as a download it obviously wont contain Mellotron Heart and therefore Itunes wont recognize it as being a part of that package. I re-tagged and still got the same trouble. Pissing me off.

No it doesn't really work like that. If you add something in with the same album title it will only really confuse it if the track number doesn't make sense to it (e.g. it's track 9 and the album has 8 tracks) but then it'll just put it at the beginning.

The only thing I can suggest is using another program to convert it to a new file and import that. For example, convert it to Wav, import the Wav to iTunes, use iTune to convert the Wav to mp3, then delete the Wav from iTunes. Whatever is causing iTunes confusion will be removed when you convert the original mp3 to wav.

Sorry. Just think it's silly this wasn't made available for free to every Opeth fan. I was one of the lucky few to score a copy of this promo (at Record and Tape Traders in Maryland).

Enjoy it while it lasts!

I agree with you. I wish I coud have it. I'd like to pay Opeth for it, tbh. Until I hear Mike say, "Yeah, sure DL it for free" I'll steer clear.

bring on "the ban"!

Opeth fan for life.

Besides, they have no reason to bitch. I've bought every single one of their albums.

Mellotron Heart for FREE!

So says Richard D. Ritz, Jr.!!!

how can any person volunteraly use iTunes, iPod and other iShit is beyond by understanding...
if things "progress" as they have done so far, then yet yet they will invent some audio format, which is even worse than mp3 and after 5-10 years we all will buy those songs track by track for huge money, because albums don´t make any sence then. we will play those track on ultramega light weighted players which have 3d hologram screens with ability to emulate odour. for uploading we have to use 64 core 10THz comupters whith mega fancy software, wich have option to dl the track from internet, convert it to shit and upload to your megaShitPod...

never mind, I am in shitty mood and waiting for my copy of Watershed... I refuse to dl it :D

So here's a question I have been thinking about, is Mellotron Heart considered part of the Watershed release and it should be tagged as part of the Watershed album on whatever music player someone uses? Or tagged as Mellotron Heart since it had its own packaging and release?

well, official downloaded mp3 has this tag information:

Granted.

Until Richard D. Ritz, Jr. is listed on Opeth liner notes as a RR Records America executive or a member of the band with writing credits next to Mikes... the decision to release official material or dictating what reasons the band can have to bitch do not rest with you. See you in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, you'll have a different perspective by then.

I'm having the same problem and I have a PC.

Mac dude.
The response to the above is:

Seriously. The PC vs Mac commercials slay me. It's like a battle of the mentally challenged. One arm vs no legs. WHY do people insist on using shit like iTunes when there are so many better media libraries out there?
