If anyone has any questions about any of the sound effects or how I made them (only things I didn't record was the woman screaming and the car crash, but I did layer some shit for the car crash), feel free to ask.

hey man pretty good :D how did you do the beeping of the flying ball? was it just synthed?

weidly i finished my sound design piece today for college, if you dont mind ill stick it here too :D ours was alot more focused on foley than music though, we were given a silent scene from pans lab and werent allowed to use library sounds so it was all primary sources :D

sorry for hijacking a bit anssi :D i was just proud when i finshed this, this morning

Both of those are pretty damn good! I'd love to be a Foley artist, it's incredibly creative but in a logical way. And I bet the clientele aren't clueless idiots with Foley work

There was a video posted on here a while ago about the Foley work with disney, specifically Wall-e, I'll see if I can find it since it was really interesting :)

cool man doesnt sound like that, it works really well for the ball though
you got any other vids anssi? i love watchin stuff where people have replace the original sounds with their own interpretations, fascinates me

one of the most impressive ive seen was this one for starcraft 2, guy did every except the voice, blown away that he is just a hobbyist,

this bishock trailer isnt bad either, very minimal during the fight which works i think,

im sure their are other ive watched, but those stick with me the most from having searched youtube for sound replacement vids

well, I've used dropping a book for most of the gunshot samples... First I program the midi to know where all the gunshots, footsteps, explosions and other more often occuring items are, then I'm going to use a sampler to trigger them. Currently I have just "something" there for placeholder like a subdrop for explosions

cool man, sounds very organised, the pans lab video took me along time because the logic session was crazy, wish i hadve though of the midi thing and the placeholders before i did the above video, definatly post more when you have done it anssi, as i said im just a geek when it comes to this, love seeing other peopls take on things, i have to get some footage so i can do more work over the summer for practice :D,

cool anssi, looks like you have a pretty solid foundation down for that man, cant wait to see it done, i can imagine gunshots being a pain in the ass though, i have two game trailors im going to toy with this summer and see what i can do, but i wont say which ones quite yet :D both are awesome trailers though im actually excited to do them just for fun.

again dude, please update when you have got it done or progressed etc, love watching these
