i don't care if this is a stolen cross-post: holy crap

I can't believe the newsperson actually tried to defend the administration - that's so inappropriate for someone in that position. it's not even that I am like "Fuck yeah!" from everything the vanity fair woman is saying either.

She made some valid points, but she was kind of an annoying bitch about it from the very beginning. I mean, $40 million on an inaugural party is definitely uncalled for and one of the dumbest things I've heard of in a long time, but I think the absurdity almost speaks for itself, without obnoxious on-air bitching - from either side!

No the Dope is right, although I do agree with the points this woman was making she was utterly obnoxious about it. It made me hate her even though I was on her side.

I mean she belaboured a single point repeatedly. She could have at least moved on and tried to make a few other suggestions as opposed to beating the crap out of the Humvees thing(even though that is completely rediculous). A retarded child would have gotten the point after the second or third time she punched it.

I was getting a little annoyed with her until she said: "Well gee, that prayer service should sure keep them safe and warm in their flimsy vehicles in Iraq." Then, I had nothing but smiles.

you can agree with him, but your "No" opener - in conjunction with the ending of your comment - is along the same lines as the mentality you are critiquing.

and yet not half as eloquent or informative to those who might not know what is going on, as her approach was.

i can't decide if it's more amusing or sad when i read/hear people expressing an anger/discomfort with a belligerent female voice.

yes, i am generalizing (do you react this way to "other pissed-off female" expressions?), because no one ever gives enough detail to assume anything otherwise.

"PC" or not, ANNOYING BITCH or not, she did express her point in a blunt enough manner for a FOXNEWS audience, right?

you think the average Fox News viewer is more astute than a retarded child?

I mean, you guys realize this is a FOX NEWS clip, right?? I think she did a fantastic job and somehow managed to stay on the air for longer than 5 secons after she started disagreeing with the anchor...I assume they got her (she's from Vanity Fair) for like, party and fashion commentary, so it must have been completely out of left (hah) field for them when she started voicing a political opinion.

I'm surprised they left her on there for that long, really. I assume it was probably because she made that comment about being allowed to express her thoughts, and you can't very well cut somebody off after they invoke that right and not look like a bastard for doing it.

I don't really think that her being female had anything to do with it. I've seen enough guys who bring about the same punch-me-in-the-face response by acting that way. I would say that, overall, she made a good point but did it in a way that almost made me stop listening to her point. In fact, the only thing the Fox correspondant did that was more annoying was that she took the opposing side and argued with her, instead of just letting it go (I think all Fox reporters labor under the delusion that they are on CrossFire all the time). So I would say that really the only significant part of that was the way the Fox woman took up for them for spending all that money and it didn't really matter who brought up the point in the first place. All these people on that site were leaving comments saying how the Vanity Fair woman did such a great job, but really I don't think that's true. She brought up a valid but ineloquent point and lucked out with the response she got. Otherwise, nobody would be paying attention to this clip, and I think that all of you feel mostly the same way, since comments on here are related to how ridiculous Fox's behavior was for the most part.
