i don't care if this is a stolen cross-post: holy crap

My point is that even though her point was not expressed in the most eloquent matter she didn't have the chance to properly express it (I am giving her the benefit of the doubt as to whether she is able or not to express said point) the anchorwoman spent all her time not only defending the party but also interrupting the hell of her guest, which was not only inapropriate but extremely rude.

you can agree with him, but your "No" opener - in conjunction with the ending of your comment - is along the same lines as the mentality you are critiquing.

and yet not half as eloquent or informative to those who might not know what is going on, as her approach was.

Inflection doesn't really go through all that well, but I frankly don't think my "no" at the beginning of the sentance makes me nearly as belligerant as the woman in the clip. Also, if you are suggesting that I am getting uptight because it was a woman expressing herself I would like to politely say "Fuck you". Because it has nothing to do with her being a woman. I would have the same reaction to a man, child, or antelope who spoke in that manner. And as for eloquence yes, the tirade she most likely prepared with several other people of like minds, was indeed more eloquent than the post I thought about for approximately 20 seconds before I wrote, I was just expressing an opinion for a board of metal-appreciators, not appearing on national television. Finally, in response to a later post by Josh, yes I do think that the average FOX viewer is more intelligent than a retarded child. Once again I am sick of the implication that if you happen to be conservative, you must surely be an idiot.

I would also like to throw out a wholehearted agreement with Nils. That is my main problem. I just want a truly equal and unbiased news.

and what part of "NO, THE DOPE IS RIGHT", in reference to the dope's liberal use of BITCH and BITCHING might have lead me to believe you were anything but egalitarian? fuck you, too, and take that however you'd like.

I've always thought of myself as conservative, but now it turns out I've been using words liberally? *drum fill cymbal crash*

I probably should have left that one for TheStrugglingStandUp.

But in all seriousness I don't really think the word bitch and its variants are even considered strictly female-specific words by most people today. Perhaps once long ago (how long, exactly, I'm not sure) the word was only used to refer to females (and dogs, at that), but I'd say that very few people would hesitate to use the word as a unisex epithet. Either way, it was in no way meant to imply that I would have regarded her manner any differently had she been a man. People whom I find annoying (which includes both of the women in the video, in this particular case) get no special treatment from me because of their gender.

Funny how "a liberal use of bitch and bitching" was in fact a single use of the word bitching which is a term used to describe complaint and can be done by either sex.

there's no way to phrase this without sounding INCREDIBLY condescending, and i wish i could tell you (convincingly) that i don't mean it to be 100% so (maybe more like 25%), because you are a rational, intelligent human, but, for serious, have you ventured outside of a college environment lately?

I do understand what you're saying and it doesn't seem all that condescending. It very well could be that my word choice is clouded by my environment. In this case, it wasn't really meant in the traditional sense (although since it was directed at a female, there is no way for it to avoid appearing this way, I suppose).

Alex, you're confusing the idea of being conservative with the current Republican party. This is simply not the case anymore, the Republicans are not conservative, they're "christ-ervative" because that is what their inane, insane policies revolve around. Real conservative values revolve around a small government, and low taxes in conjunction. However, I'd also point to Democratic insincerity and their willingness to do anything to get a vote and an attitude that at least simulates the tricking and belittling of people into voting for them, lest they be labelled functionally retarded. Funny how a group pretty ready to attack a different religious group is now clinging ever tighter to their own religion. Perhaps we really are in the middle of a Holy War and if that's the case, I quit. Right now, neither party has it right, neither party runs proper campaigns, both parties have at some point forgotten that what's important to our governmental system which is that the people be heard and their views count, not push whatever policies will get you into office so you can reneg on campaign promises and do your own thing. The problem is now that no one can compromise anymore, Americans seem to have forgotten that compromise is what our country is built on or do I need to remind everybody about the 3/5 Compromise, and the Connecticut Compromise that were both made during the Constitutional Convention? Furthermore, the reason people can't compromise is because of what Josh said about Conservatives being mentally deficient and Democrats being aloof, arrogant assholes. No one is taking the time to actually listen to and understand why someone thinks the way they do. Maybe if people remembered that, made some compromises, our entire union wouldn't be so god-damned divided. This would, of course, require people to not immediately label people of dissimilar beliefs retarded, unless they actually are, in which case its awesome and funny.

i don't know why you're addressing ME!

anyway, the idea of Democrats as "aloof, arrogant assholes" is a fiction propagated by the Republican party which has successfully taken hold.
