Get outta bed around nine
And I don't worry about nothin' no
'Cause worryin's a waste of my... time

:kickass: :kickass: :kickass:

One of the greatest riffs of all time, I'm pretty sure I borrowed some dude's electric guitar way back when to specifically learn that riff. Afterwards, I went like this :kickass: for about two hours. All around the living room, while taking a whiz, sitting down for family dinner, everywhere.

I can't believe how boldly they stole the first verse from Rush's Working Man:

Working Man

I get up at seven, yeah,
And I go to work at nine.
I got no time for livin',
Yes, I'm workin' all the time.

Guns N Roses - Mr. Brownstone

I get up around seven
Get outta bed around nine
And I don't worry about nothin' no
Cause worryin's a waste of my...time

haha never noticed that concerning Rush. I'm not a huge Rush fan, but man man is Working Man just flat out AMAZING.

"Civil War" is perhaps the best song ever written.
Everytime I hear either "Civl War", or the GnR cover of "Knockin on Heaven's Door", I sing the chorus to the other song. They fit so perfectly over each other. It's like Axl covered "Knockin on Heaven's Door" twice.

Zod

Except Knockin' on Heaven's Door by Guns n' Roses fucking blows, and Civil War is definitely a contender for Best. Song. Ever. :)

If I had to pick a favorite from the Illusions, I think I'd go with Locomotive. But that's only if forced to, many of my all time favorite songs are found on those albums.

I'll never forgive Slash for throwing that Gibson Les Paul '59 sunburst off the edge of the cliff in the "Don't you Cry" video.

I liked "Estranged" a lot. "You Could be Mine" was cool too, especially the T2 video. After that, Axl always introduced it live with "...and now for a little bit of Arnold...".

Knockin' on Heavens Door was an awful cover, but then the original pretty much sucks too, just like 99.5% of anything Clapton ever did.

"Live and Let Die" was an awesome cover, however. Seeing them do that live was phenomenal, with the lights, and the pyrotechnics, etc.

Ahh, the days of stadium shows and bands actually making an effort to entertain...

I always tell this story, but I saw GnR once in Germany supported by Skid Row and Nine Inch Nails. Needless to say, NiN were booed off before the first song ended. That's 70,000 mullet headed krauts booing Trent Reznor to the point of him just walking off.

speaking of ripping off. has noone else ever noticed this? But still i love me some Danzig.

Danzig - The Hunter:

Call me the hunter
That's my name
Pretty young thing like you
Is my only game
Don't use no love gun
Don't need no kissing
When I get ahold of you honey
Gonna light you up like Christmas
Ain't no use to run, babe
Ain't no use to hide
'Cause I've got you in the sights
Of my Burning

Led Zeppelin - How Many More Times:

Well they call me the hunter, that's my name.
They call me the hunter, that's how I got my fame.
Ain't no need to hide, Ain't no need to run.
'Cause I've got you in the sights of my..........gun!

That's Bob Dylan son, and the original rocks! But I agree with you on Clapton. :tickled:

I think Glenn did that with some other Zep lyrics, I can't remember which right now. In tribute perhaps?
