Be still, O wand'rer!
Of course. Missing Motorhead would be like missing Slayer or some other metal institution. Did the crowd go nuts as usual for Ace of Spades?Erik said:Saw Motörhead of course
Yeah, Anthrax material can go either way, especially after Belladonna and Spitz left.I saw Anthrax and only liked "Deathrider" and "Indians..."
Yeah, you gotta hand it to him. His voice is still remarkable. Stargazer live must be outstanding. I don't care what Rainbow turned into after Dio left, but songs like Stargazer, Kill the King, and Gates of Babylon are great classic metal.Saw the end of Dio, gotta say he still has his fucking voice pretty much intact which is impressive. I heard him play "Stargazer" and "Sign of the Southern Cross" in the distance, then saw "Heaven and Hell"... Which was kind of cool, I love those songs and pretty much all Dio-era Sabbath.
Yeah, this is true old school NWOBHM stuff. You have to admit, Saxon have had some great album covers, heh! I'll also admit to liking Killing Ground. Someone handed me a promo of it, and it was better than expected. I have the Saxon live DVD promo too but it's not quite as exciting.I saw the end of Saxon too, let's just say I'm not going to run out and buy their albums, but the audience seemed really into it and the band was energetic and stuff for being that old...
So no rumours whatsoever for next year? I guess Slayer and Megadeth could be strong possibilities for headliners. Kreator too perhaps. This Wacken was probably worse than the last band-wise, but heh, it was great still and I'm going next year as well obviously.
