then goes, i do the 2nd one cos when i was younger i invented this (\m/).

Dio (who is of Italian descent) has stated that he got \m/ from his grandmother, who used to make the sign to protect her from the evil eye. This was back when he was a little boy. At that point in time, Gene Simmons was either non-existant or still shitting into his diaper.

The question is, which guy did more to bring the gesture into the mainstream of society? I saw Gene do it first, but he was doing so much other stuff (like spitting blood and breathing fire) that it didn't have much impact on me. The first time I started flashing the mano cornuto on a regular basis, it was because Dio was always doing it.

ah yes lemme rephrase...i know neither "inevented" it, i meant dio was the first one to introduce it to metal and have it become the symbol...and i was mad simmons claimed it.
