I hate to even waste bandwidth on Arcturus, but...

No. That was the fault of their previous management/booking agency during a transition period for the band. I did not speak to the band directly during that time period.
As I said on the Facebook page, Arcturus are nothing but lowlifes. Glenn should sue their asses for the thousands of dollars that he wasted on the visas and intangibles. And, I will say it again: Ihsahn is one HELL of an upgrade.

To be fair, if the issue with ProgPower was visa-related, there would be no such conflict with Inferno, as it's a hometown gig for them. Still, communication is essential, and if there is a problem, you have to let promoters know what it is and what you're doing about it.
Now, if Inferno WAS the problem (i.e., they want to make their comeback in Norway as a part of Vortex's buddy's festival rather than in Atlanta), then obviously, fuck them.

Will there be any leagal action taken against them? As I see it, they committed at the very least fraud. I mean, you are out a shitload of money because of them.
I usually agree with your posts, but not this time. Of all time? Man, that's quite a statement. To me, they are a fantastic band with amazing albums, especially the Garm era.

How is canceling a show fraud? The shit you say sometimes is beyond ridiculous. They were dicks, but shows get canceled all the time. You don't think tons of promoters lost a buttload of money with Soilwork and Nevermore canceling the Symphony X tour? Where are the lawsuits there?

So, I guess they will be done hibernating and rejuvenating by next April. Five months clearly wasn't enough time. Let's see if they do any other shows before this Inferno thing.

Prior to the Arcturus cancellation, 3/5 of this band (the big singer being one of them) was going to be in attendance. Dunno if they are still coming, unfortunately.

I think it's odd that ICS Vortex is going to be playing with Arcturus and then headline the Inferno Festival with Borknagar. Something has got to give here, I can't see him or both of the bands playing. I'll believe it when I see it.
