No, I use it because Philly tap water is fucking foul tasting. Brita makes it taste fantastic (like nothing, as water is supposed to be).

Actually I find those pitchers with built in filters kinda annoying. It's so much easier to hook a filter up to the tap itself and just run the filtered water into a regular ol' pitcher.

My parents have that. One of the things I miss most about living with them. Every now and then they get a backup of full bottles, so they send me home with one. It's ALWAYS better than the stuff from my Brita pitcher.

Yeah, they often do large scale steam distillation to produce mass quantities for resale. The fact that it comes out of the cooler ice cold is the real selling point for me.

The water here in my town is in the top 10 best and cleanest water systems in the World, and has reached #1 several times. Fucking cool. In all seriousness, the water here is better than bottled water. Bottled water to pour it out and put tap water in it. Crazy, eh?
