I got my retail copy of the Arrival in the mail.
So how does the sound compare to the promo?
To be honest, I dont really notice a difference at all...
I have ripped the retail into mp3s and I dont really notice any differences at all with the mp3s from the promo.
I am making this judgement having only listened to Eraser and compared the two versions. The retail cd sounds damn good regardless of whether it is the same as the promo. Just because I dont notice any differences doesnt mean someone will. Peter said it sounded better to him, but since he recorded the album he is more apt to notice such changes.
Bottom line:
If Peter is happy, I am happy, too.
Does this mean that those who downloaded the album should not buy it?
Absolutely NOT, anyone who downloaded the album and enjoyed it, owes it to Hypocrisy to make the purchase. The End Records is selling it for $11
