I hope this is true as I see a Motorhead Arizona date

I checked the www.celebritytheatre.com website and sunday April 27 Motorhead with more information coming soon listed.

That would kick ass. I'm only about 2 miles from there. April 27 is open as far as imotorhead.com is concerned, and they're in California on the 26th, so this could actually happen. Now as long as it's not one of those dates that Anthrax goes off and does something on their own somewhere else...

that is what I was nervous about as people made it sound like they are starting in May. Celebrity theater wouldn't put it on their site without confirmation. I just want anthrax to put out their dates just to make sure.

brat, it is only a motorhead show as they are doing a west coast only tour.

this sucks unless anthrax starts a headlining tour beginning in the west after their tour with motorhead as if motorhead is hitting all of cali,the northwest,and arizona they most likely won't come back with anthrax.

either, we are screwed from seeing anthrax or we will get lucky with an anthrax headling gig.

I would except that I don't think the band has a whole lot to do with the actual booking of a tour, and I don't want to sound whiney. (No, not meeeeeeeee..........)

bands on smaller scales do have a say in where they are playing. I help with some of the smaller promoters and usually the band or the manager gets in contact with various state's promoters after they figure out what type of route they are taking. They want a show for a certain date, the local promoter calls local clubs and a whole lot of money issues get worked out.


the last time anthrax played here other than opening for pantera was at that one club in tempe where a guy recently died outside of mysteriously.
I remember that anthrax show as some idiot tried spilling beer on anthrax from the balcony. a couple of the guys wanted the idiot to come down so they could kick his ass

Which mysterious death? The one where the guy got punched once and hit his head on the bricks? I didn't realize the Electric Ballroom was that close to Mill, although I think it has a new name now becuase no one calls it that anymore. And at the time I went, I was living in Glendale, didn't drive to the show, and certainly didn't pay attention except I remember the Broadway curve on I10. I missed the beer spilling though

He told me he hadn't seen the US dates yet and to let him know what shows near me I would be seeing as he would hook me up with passes.

So here I still wait for the dates to start showing up in the west.

it wasn't the electric ballroom. it was a smaller club which now just has a happy face on the outside. I am still trying to remember the name. they were scheduled to play club rio but it got moved. I went to club rio and no busses were outside. I hurried to a phone, called club rio and found out it had been moved. yeah, just about a month or so ago, after a saturday night at this now dance club, a guy was found dead. they were looking for witnesses on the news.

That club is the Have a Nice Day Cafe (where the guy died). How long ago was the Anthrax gig there?
