i know caps are totally not kosher, BUT I'M FUCKING STOKED RIGHT NOW

i called this 1 place i know that kicks me good discounts, and they said they could get it for $450...then i looked on MF, and they had a scratch n' dent one listed at $380

of course i jumped on that shit, and the total with tax came to $406.06...should be here within a week!

Fucking awesome dude! Can't wait to hear it (hint hint ;))

NEITHER CAN I!!!

only shitty part is that the only cab i have is my MG412, but i've had my eyes on a really nice 2x12 for a minute...not going to mention it on here tho, or one of you guys will probably scoop it up from under me!

i think i will too...i've been shopping around for a long time to find a replacement for my beastly ampeg, and after hearing some of the youtube videos and various clips(including the ones MetalJonesy reamped for me), i was pretty sure i wanted one, but it depended on whether i could get one for less than a 5150 combo.

i was actually about to go check out a 5150 tonight that's only $450, but i guess it's missing the presence knob, and is almost 2 hours away. now i think i'm going to wait until the krank's good and broken in and i start playing live, and then throw a 5150 combo in with the krank...i think those together will give some bruising-ass tone, and with no huge heads or 4x12's.

Well you may find you have to go the 4x12 route eventually...I dunno, I'm sure there are better 2x12's out there for recording than the awful (but extremely highly hyped) Bogner 2x12 I used to have, but I sold it and actually bought a Mesa halfback 2x12 for live playing and an older Engl 4x12 for recording for a combined $610, so I've got the best of both worlds! (portability from one, tone from the other)

yea, well the wife was already pissed at me for dropping $400 on the krank, so $600 on cabs is totally out of the question!!

hopefully i can score something for $200-250, then sell my MG to make up for some of it...

clips will be coming whenever it shows up...which'll hopefully be tomorrow

and i picked up an avatar 2x12 yesterday, loaded with one V30 and one G12H30...i thought both were V30's when i went to pick it up, but whatever...i wasn't going to go home empty-handed

the sound of the Krank Rev Jr is really impressive, I haven´t tried krank Rev yet so I couldn´t do any comparison between them.

I´m really happy with my purchase, is a really powerful amp even though is 20w loaded, you can play a small gig with no problem at all. actually I played it at master 2 and I thought the glasses were going down.

I really recommend people to buy the Krank Rev Jr Pro with footswitch that way you gonna get the whole package right away.

I´ll post some clips when I get an interface.

cheers!

yea...i wanted the pro, but for $220 less, i said fuck the clean channel

i usually just roll back on my volume to get a semi-clean tone, anyways

i came home from work about an hour ago, and lo and behold, i found this:

i'd been expecting the black grill, but it came out of the box with the chrome...even better than i though. what's even more awesome is that i can't even find the flaw that made it a scratch and dent...the only thing i can think that might qualify it as such is some uneven paint on the plastic Krank logo in the middle of the A, but it's basically unnoticeable.

of course the amp sounds great...i jammed on it for about an hour, and was able to coax pretty much any sound i want out of it. between the sweep, the EQ, boost, and FX loop boost, this thing'll do whatever the hell you want, including getting really f'ing loud.

all in all, this is probably the best $400 i've ever spent on my guitar rig

i bought it off of craigslist...and that's weird they've been discontinued for a while, because the cab looks almost brand new
