Weirdly enough, the instrumentalists in Creed actually write good music as Alter Bridge. Creed is just Scott Stapp stroking his ego with a three-man supporting cast.

King for a Day might be my favorite as well, mostly due to the contributions of Trey Spruance (Mr Bungle, Secret Chiefs 3) one of the most underrated guitarists in the history of rock music.

have you seen them live? It's otherworldly.

I was lucky that a friend organized the gig and we had two days of hanging out with Trey and everyone and grilling him about the bungle and FNM records. he's a super nice guy and was really into talking about every little detail we asked him about, all the way down to samples used and stuff.

funny fact, the only sample that was paid for on the first mr. bungle was the farting noise which two guys in philadelphia had a copyright on

And they changed the name of Travolta to Quote Unquote because their label (which I'm pretty sure was a huge major, WB perhaps?) was mortified of the Scientologists who apparently have the deadliest lawyers in all the land.
