yea this guy is just like, fairly inconsiderate. i didnt realize it until after i had given him the book. i guess he borrowed a coworkers umbrella and then said 'oh it broke, i threw it away'.

i guess his rationale was that he shouldnt bother bringing it back if it was broken! (plus, the wind here does break umbrellas often) but he should have offered to buy another one.
