I can't find any record of this anywhere.... Why would Symphony X, of all bands, record with Jens Bogren and then use programmed drums?

They don't record with Jens, they record at The Dungeon aka Mikes basement, and Jens mixes. I think it's Rullo actually playing an E-kit.
