I like these drums ...

Cool idea!

How did you record those synths?

As for the drums, yes, they do sound nice, but i feel it's missing something when they kick in... maybe they should be up in volume, but to me they dont sound quite there yet.. maybe blend in some electronic samples slightly?

Overall... it sounds cool smy! original stuff...

I will mix it properly once we finished writing the japanese Lyrics and did vocals on it. You always have to visualize this on a club PA that accents bass sounds a lot. Mixing for that is a bit different than mixing for rock/metal even if you want natural sounding drumtones.

There are 5 synths in this:

lead: reFX Claw through Cubase standard overdrive plugin
bass: moog voyager sine bass
distorted bass: trilogy 4 string, fingered bass sent through amplitube v1
weird atmosphere: cygnos-o synth
medical beep: juno 60 square sound

I am really looking forward to seeing this with the video (feat. a hot nurse, haha!).

Yup.. you got the kickdrum right there though.. nice low end/oomph to it...

Gotta have that, haha. I noticed that for a mix to get people to dance (in any genre from metal to techno) in a club, it helps to have a very boomy low end kick every now and then, very clear melody and crisp hihats. Everything else isn't that important really (okay, maybe an offbeat bass, too).
