I haven't posted here in a long while but the guys at harmony-central seemed to be enjoying these so I thought I'd post them here as well.

I followed the instructions in this vid (1:30->):

One thing they forgot to mention in the tutorial is that you'll need to leave a bit of silence at the end of each recorded sine wave, otherwise all of your impulses will sound the same. At least that's what happened to me.

I also used a Radial X-Amp between my Firepod and the amp intead of using just the outputs. Volume on the amp was master on max and ch. volume 12 o'clock so it was pretty loud. It got pretty piercing to listen to the sine wave even with ear protection.

The impulses are V30, G12K100 and G12T100 miced with an SM57 and an MD421. I used my Mako Mak2 power section (fx loop return as input) and my Matamp cabs.

ps lo = Presence 12 o'clock
dp lo = Deep 12 o'clock
ps hi = Presence 3 o'clock
dp hi = Deep 3 o'clock

Here's a single track of guitar going through all the impulses with the presence low and deep low:

Here's a quick youtube clip I did with my Herbert with the G12K100 impulses:

Not the best tone ever, but it was a quick test.

The GT 100s are the best cab impulses I've ever used. Am finally able to get close to the tones I always wanted w/ them! Thanks for making them.

Thanks a lot for making these! I am recording three of my bands/projects at the time and don't have the time to record them with a real amp. So we recorded the guitars directly into my Firebox. I thought about reamping the guitars afterwards, but with these impulses I don't have to! Thanks a lot!

Thanks! Good to know that they're being put to good use. :)
