I dunno. I ordered from amazon and it went through them. They are located in NJ so I am getting them today.

Shootout tomarrow between this and a 57. Freidman technique is out of the question (it's impossible to place these mics that way due to size) but I will do various placements just to get the idea of how it sounds.

Thanks for the heads up I just pulled the trigger on one of these. I have been thinking about a new mic to try out and for this price I can't pass it up. Seems to have lots of positive feedback reguarding guitar recording as well as a few other applications. I'll have to put it in front of our singer and see what happens also.

Sorry for the piss poor mix and playing, this is just a band that I am doing right now. Same edits made on both, totally blind test (except for mic placement, it's hard to place the balls the same as the 57s).

couldnt hear a huge difference to be honest, the ball maybe seemed a little crisper wher the the 57 had a little more low mid punch, thanks for posting this though, i might pick up a couple of these for pinch scenarios
Yeah there really wasn't a night and day difference although to my ears the ball sounded a pinch smoother overall (which I admit is not the greatest for this genre).
But for $50 usd I couldn't resist buying a couple.
The only downside is the fact that they are plastic, the mounts are restrictive (range of motion), and about the size of a softball (so big) so I wouldn't be comfortable trying them on toms, or a snare with a newb drummer. The mounts however can be remedied by either getting a short gooseneck or buying "the ringer" which is the shock mount for all of the ball series mics.
