I certainly enjoy the two new songs I've heard... but they hardly seem like Opeth's heaviest as I was lead to believe. Do you think those others on the album will be heavier, or should Mike have perhaps said "darkest" or something else? Mike also uses quite more clean vocals...

Deliverence seems quite a bit heavier then these two songs.

I'm not disapointed, just getting something I wasn't expecting, ya know?

I like them both... I'm not disapointed. Can you not read? Mike said this was going to be their heaviest yet and judging from the two new songs it isn't so.

it seems like a standard phrase for metal bands to promote new, unreleased albums as 'our heaviest yet'...
heavy or not, quality counts ...and mike even calls deliverance 'one of our top three heaviest songs' which i think is completely not right...
