I took a photo of avenged sevenfold's pro tools setup

right but still it looks like we are only seeing half the tracks... so it's probably more in the area of 40 tracks. wish the pic would be a little clearer but I was far away and you can still mostly read everything

I always enjoy seeing how pro sessions are laid out in comparison to my own, cheers for sharing!

Gareth, it really doesn't look to be "laid out" like a "pro session" to me... it's fairly haphazard, there's no color-coding employed (all tracks one colour is not color-coding), and most of the tracks are un-named.

arv-foh and ahjteam, all the non-highlighted tracks you see in the Tracks list to the left, down at the bottom of it, are italicized... the italicization means those tracks are disabled, and thus producing no sound at all.

most of the tracks above those in the Tracks panel are highlighted, meaning they are "shown" in the edit window, and are not italicized, meaning they are active tracks and able to have a "voice".

so, you are most likely seeing every track that they are actually using in their backing tracks feed, the rest all appear to be hidden from the edit window and disabled.

I can't stand a PT session that isn't colour coded... even if just in groups Drums, Gutiarist 1, Guitarist 2 (if applicable), Bass, Vox... at least each of these in their own colour...

I also hate when they haven't been coded and have been created randomly... like the bass is somewhere in the middle of the guitars in the fader window...

They havent even Named the tracks. That drives me batshit crazy.
Logic users are terrible for this.

Joey... even if you know this, you don't ever admit to it...

Agreed though, unnamed tracks are a right dick on...

"Wheres the drums?"

"there!"

"Where?"

"Audio 5,6,7,8,9,10....etc"

"Oh yeah there they are, right under my nose...... prick"
