I truly feel like an engineer when...

Really? I only truly feel like an engineer when I do one of the best mixes in a mix contest but the client decides to hold a poll instead of picking with their ears, and then I'm not even in the poll.

Yeah, that whole thing was a bit of a fail. I really don't get what he was doing, think the language barrier was pretty bad. He thought he was telling us things and we were just like "whu?"
Pity because the song was awesome

Lmao, I'm really vibing on the passive aggressiveness man, keep it up. It's working better than the caffeine so far...

It's funny, I listened back to that and it's probably one of the better rock mixes I've ever done (granted, it's the first on the Opals, with actual treatment, after the intense Randy obsession started, so go figure).

I only truly feel like an engineer when I'm dealing with calculus, physics, and building prototypes or products to solve a real world problem. Not so much when I'm clicking away on a computer screen making "art."

i feel like an engineer everytime i see channel 1-12 on my mackie move and then it hits me, i am recording drums

I only really feel like an audio engineer when I'm huddled in the corner staring across at my screen covering my ears so I can't hear the horrible timing of poorly played guitars with a slop tone and a drummer that plays like he has a basketball crammed up his ass.
