-1 eSata port
-1 Express-Card slot
-8GB Ram
-2 SEPERATE HD´s with each 500GB

no sadly not

The current one only has
only one HD
No eSata, nor Express card slot
only ONE firewire port

You can actually get 2 HDs in the newest iMac just announced. A regular drive and a solid state drive. Only 1 FW though.

Oh well. I'll probably just upgrade my MBP when the next models come out with faster firewire and Usb3.0, and hopefully i7's too.

Hmm, the new Magic Trackpad thing is pretty interesting though. If that'd have an option to use a stylus or something, I can imagine quite a few uses for it.

I just bought an i7 imac with 8GB ram 2TB HD
I looked at all the options and the one thing that swayed me was the screen .
If you factor in the price of a new Mac screen it does make good value .
I would say this IS the first true imac workhorse and so far it has coped
easily with studio duties . Fingers crossed .

With the internal SSD option, it's pretty much good to go IMO, but that comes at quite a price. I wonder if you could install it yourself, after the fact?

I also REALLY like the look of that Magic Trackpad... will probably end up getting one.
