Ibanez bass volumeknob help

Hi guys
I have a Ibanez SR 840 bass from 2000. I broke the volume knob. Do you know what kind of knob I should switch? Ibanez wiring diagrams dont include my model but some similar basses have 20kOhm knobs. I have atm one 250kOhm knob so can someone tell me what will I break if new knob has too much ohms. The bass has active EQ and passive mics I think.

You won't break anything, it just won't work exactly like the old one did. The value of the potentiometer should be indicated on the back.
